Creating a Safe Workplace for Apprentices

As an employer working with LAAT apprentices, you play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the well-being of young people and vulnerable adults. We are committed to working in partnership with you to ensure a safe and supportive working environment.

• Employer Responsibilities: You are responsible for providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination.
• Safeguarding Training and Guidance: LAAT offers safeguarding training and guidance to ensure you understand your obligations and can effectively support apprentices.
• PREVENT Duty: Employers are expected to work with LAAT in identifying and safeguarding individuals who may be at risk of radicalisation or extremism.

Report an Incident or Concern at LAAT

If you need to report an incident or concern at London Academy for Applied Technology (LAAT), you can do so anonymously through our Whisper Form. Our safeguarding team is here to support you if you:

• Feel threatened
• Are being bullied or harassed
• Are experiencing abuse or neglect
• Are exposed to radicalisation or extremism

We provide appropriate advice and support, including referrals to internal teams or external agencies as needed.
